Welcome to the Home of the Fighting Tigers
Welcome to Capitan Middle School, a community school within the Capitan Municipal Schools District in the heart of historic Lincoln County, New Mexico! Combining a balanced core curriculum with extracurricular activities, sports, and clubs, we prepare students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades for community involvement and life success.
Founded in the late 1800s and situated between the beautiful Capitan and Sacramento mountains, the Village of Capitan enjoys vast outdoor recreation opportunities that our temperate weather affords, breathtaking scenery, and a diverse art community. As part of this community, we at Capitan Middle School take great pride in our part of honoring the spirit of the west and developing our community’s future leaders.
We invite you to explore our new website; familiarize yourself with our school, our teachers, and our Tiger Pride! Let us know if you have any questions or would like to volunteer!
